Porites is known to show wild colors when it is stressed and/or diseased by trematodes.

I agree. A lot of times a stressed porites will exhibit very splotchy and unpredictable coloration like this where a few branches are green and others red.

It looks to be either a montipora sp or a porites sp. Either way I like it!

I was in reef raft USA yesterday when Tony was taking pictures of this coral and some other colonies. The most incredible group of corals I have ever seen. The color, growth, and uniqueness was extraordinary. I don't know where he finds these coral but they are indeed amazingly spectacular. Expensive yes, but amazingly spectacular

I was down at RR USA. At first some one tell me about this coral but at first I think it way over photo shop. man i was wrong look better in person. they said got to see it to believe it. this is one sick coral and it will put the JD to shame.

In this era of photoshop I can understand peoples doubts . But it's an awesome specimen even to the naked eye!
