Stand is plywood for a 180g standard. Water damage around the drain area. I removed the vertical panel in this area and cut way the really bad sections. I ran a level around the area and it's not that bad, maybe 1/16-1/8" gap at the most in some sections. My plan is to leave out the back panel and put 2 vertical 2x4s at the each end of the cutout. Lay a 3/4" plywood on top and then a foam sheet on top. What do you guys think? Maybe another 1 or 2 2x4 running horizontally underneath the top?

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
