I was looking to buy a return pump for my 25w aqua uv sterilizer. I want to run it about 800gph so I was in search for a return pump that would accommodate this. I found the Syncra SDC 3.0 which is rated for 800gph max flow. I know there is a pump above this one with more power, but if I could get away with this one it would save me 100 bucks. Would I be able to run it at max power all the time or would that not work?

Better to run lower than at max. Will extend pump life.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
