Aquascape time! The sand had settled enough for me to do the aquascape. I'm very happy with it. The marco rocks had been curing since May. I also installed my other T5 fixture. I will need to video the tank.

Some pics with everything transferred over from my 75g and now into the 270g. Again need to video and get pics. 20l also plumbed into the main system. I used 18" grill covers to block light from my 20l T5 fixture so nothing grows in my RODI tank.

Ok, so that's a lot of updates. However, it took roughly a month for the above to happen. My family is now enjoying the tank as I continue to tweak and add things to the tank! Here is my potential stock list..thoughts?

Love the Glass Cages tank and your stand is beautiful as well. Overall, quite the set-up to be proud of! :)
Thank you! It has been a year long effort but well worth it!. Joe was fantastic to work with and I highly recommend glasscages.com. The tank is a beast.

Saddlebacks are the BEST!… especially enjoying their unique swim pattern in a large tank like yours. I have one in my 150— I just stumbled upon him about the size of yours at a LFS. They are not as common at LFS as they used to be.. now everything is an online captive bred ‘micro’ fish. :(

How did you get delivery of an 8’ tank?? Not by lift-truck to your house, I don’t suppose?

Yah, I ordered my saddlebacks online a few years ago. I had an amazing pair over 15yrs ago and always wanted another pair. My tank is 7ft long and was delivered with a lift gate truck. I wanted an 8ft tank, but lift gate delivery changed my mind. And honestly it was the best move going with a wider /shorter tank.

I love peninsula tanks for the fact that you put it all out there for everyone to see, keeps you tight on the appearance from all angles!

Figuring out the why: Has your primary reason(s) for keeping a saltwater aquarium changed over time?
