Anyone know if it's safe to dose cupramine after paraguard? The last dose of paraguard was dosed yesterday, so it's been 24hrs? From what I've read it's only effective for 24hrs. My tang has started to break out today, it's not ich I suspect it's likely velvet. He's still active and eating, but I do see a few rashes/spots on his body starting to form. I'm thinking, I'll give him a fresh water dip tonight and dose some copper?

Btw, the tang was treated with paraguard since Friday. Whatever his illness, it had no affect.

Any suggestions?

I don't think you should mix the two. Should at least run carbon for 24 hours to remove paraguard or do a massive water change.

You'll want to do a massive water change on the QT before running copper. I suggest that because it's faster than running carbon and if you are dealing with velvet, then treatment needs to happen quickly.
