Thanks Mark! I have done nothing to the since the last pics. Gary is stopping by tomorrow and we'll decide to keep or work the aquascape. It actually looks better in person than in the photos. I'd love to finish that part up and clear out my frag tank of corals that belong in the cube as I'm running out of room!

Tonight I moved some of my favia's, ricordea and a couple other items over to the new cube. I added some additional sand last night and tonight I got the 2 vortechs installed and added the lighting.

Hi Sara

I love your tank. So much that I ordered one myself (24x24x18).

Question if I could, are you happy with the overflow? Both the volume you can push through the tank and the overall noise.

I ordered the tank with a larger 1.5" drain, with the desire to push a bit more volume with as little sound as possible. However it appears they are having a hard time fitting the bigger pipe in that tight overflow.

If you are happy with the 1" drain, I may just stick with that.

Your opinion and help is appreciated.

Sweet, I have the exact same tank. It has been setup for a couple months now, ill take pix and ask for your opinion. Sweet setup by the way.

I'm very impressed with the quietness of this tank actually. The overflow is a tight fit with the plumbing and I can understand the issue with trying to add a larger pipe. I'd go with the standard size and just supplement the flow with some sort of powerhead of your liking. I also plumbed with a vent cap, but I'm not really using it as it's already quiet enough. Hope that helps.

That is great. My LFS believes that the modified tank could be ready for next week. If not, they have a stock unit in-house that he will let me take and even return if I am not happy (Good guy.) SO I am sure I will have a tank either was in a week or so.

Nice to hear you are so happy with yours as I am sure I will be.

Hopefully I will be able to create something half as nice as yours.
