I got this sea urchin only 3 days ago. He’s been doing good. I don’t see anything wrong with him. I read online to not expose them to air so I was careful to make sure he stayed under water.
He’s been cruising around my tank, eating algae, being awesome… but sometimes he goes to the very top of the tank, upside down and just chills there with his little mouth out of the water. After a while. He goes back to doing his regular urchin things but it makes me panic!! I tried to careful to not expose to him air and here he is, just trying to breathe it like he has lungs!!
Of course I google it and everything talks about floating urchins or urchins losing spines and being stressed. But he isn’t floating, he’s holding onto the glass, and he gets bored and goes back down and keeps eating algae. Someone tell me this is normal.
