Hello, I purchased a segmented sailfin blenny along with a diamond goby 9 days ago. I have never seen the blenny eat. I've tried a variety of foods, but is hasn't seem interested in any. (Flakes, pellets, frozen mysis, frozen seaweed blend, nori (on clip and rubber banded to pvc, algae waffer). From what I read it may be eating somewhat since it is still alive after 5 days. It's very docile and not skidish which may be of concern. When cleaning the tank it doesn't care how close my hand/siphon gets. I've seen the blenny nip at the goby when the goby was eating some food right in front of it, otherwise they don't seem bothered by each other. Below is a link to a video and attached are frames from the video. Does it look starved or am I worrying for no reason? I can take more photos tomorrow if needed.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for chiming in. I already do something similar. I start by turning off all flow. Add food (target feed half), let the food sit for 10 minutes or so. Turn on the airstone for a few minutes which suspends the food, then I turn it off again. And 10 minutes later I turn on the hob filter and air stone. This has been helpful for the goby, but still haven't seen the blenny go after any food.

Based on the images or video, does the blenny look starved?
