I would recommend the Dimmable SunPower ATI's. The colors are amazing during the ramping periods! I agree with the above about the MP40 in a shallow tank. The Maxspect Riptide looks promising, and that might be all you'll need! You can always sell the MP40, ya know!

Yup, we got a brand new ATI 6x54w dimmable sun power and reefbrite LED thanks to BF sale! we already have an MP40 and will be ordering a Maxspect XF150! Good thing our tank is barebottom :D

We got one of these and one of the guys at our LFS (Living Reef Orlando) agreed to place it in one of their tanks (extremely clean and no signs of fish disease and coral bugs) to help seed it with beneficial bacteria. We'll leave it there for about a month.

Is this a smart idea?

Just make sure you QT it for 4 weeks after you get it back.

I am really excited for you!
The biofilter media looks very promising.

Thank you! I'm currently adding salt to the system right now. Aquascaping should begin on Friday or Saturday! My wife and I can't wait to add our first fish in! :)

Awesome. I love the short height. IMO rimless tanks greatest feature is for top down viewing since you don't have the rim to draw attention. I always figured rimmed tanks were good higher at eye level, but rimless are sweet shorter so you get a unique view!

Thank you! I LOVE the top-down view and I don't even have corals and fish yet!
