We recently purchased a six line wrasse .
he used to swim around but noticed there as a little aggression towards him after acclimating .
He is rarely ever seen and haven’t seen him swimming for 2 days .

I could see him in one of the rocks lounging for a few hours last night .
today , no where to be seen .
Is hiding for days normal behaviour for them ?

note that they are bashful at first generally 4-7 days and slowly come out and socialize

My six line hides out too, I only see him when it’s feeding time or he decides to swim into the overflow for whatever reason. Does that a lot.
i do see him but he isn’t out swimming around like my tangs and copper band butterfly.

It takes time and could be worse. Bluethroat triggers are notorious for hiding and refusing food, sometimes for over a month at first.

Mine stays hid 90% of the time. He shows up to feed and will swim around and go back into hiding

Our six-line is the 2nd most recent addition to our 125 gallon and for a tiny guy (maybe 1") he is the most social fish we have. Maybe he's an odd-ball. He is always out and about and we have a huge amount of rock work so it would be very easy for him to hide all time. We have enough caves and coves that our 8" sailfin can disappear completely from view if she wants to.
