Could anyone id the critter below and confirm if it is reef safe? Haven't added anything in a while so surprised to find it on the glass recently. Looking through other posts for something similar, maybe it's a whelk I do not want in the tank.

Actually it looks a lot like this, in which case, not safe for the display

Thanks, I've let it be for now. Once I have a sump set up, I will move it there to be safe. Hopefully it's small enough to not be harmful in the short term. Haven't seen it for a bit, but it hung out in areas of algae more than areas with detritus. Maybe it just knows what it's prey likes to eat haha.
