Hi everyone,

My pond is 8 months old and I have problem with my sps. Their bone seems to be very soft, easy to break when I touch it. I tested ICP last 2.5 months and my pond was lack of iodine but I refilled as suggested, N 10-20, P 0.1-0,2, CA 450, Kh 8, Mg 1400, Stronti 10. Can you help me to figure out which reasons that affect to sps bone ?

Thank you very much.

I have not experienced it myself, but I've heard burnt tips (from high alk) can have soter tips.

Other than that, depends on the coral. And could be PH related as mentioned above. I find that most things that are faster growing tend to have a more brittle skeleton. This isn't true in all cases...take milk stylo as an example of the opposite.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
