Advice to a newer SPS reefer: don't concern yourself with the names. Too many people are paying hundreds of dollars to corals with cool names, ie RR. Trust me, a lot of these wild corals with cool names and photoshopped pics don't look very nice in a lot of people's tanks.

not to go after the names but to know what to look for :)
thanks nino

Regarding names I would concern myself with the real names and not the "made up designer" names.
For example - the above coral names in order of appearance top to bottom are:
Montipora capitata
Acropora carduus
Acropora millepora
Acropora granulosa

Have had this in the tank for about 5 months. Got it off the bottom of someone elses tank where it was dark green and dying. Now a yellow gold color with pink tips and white polyps. Sad that my tank is coming down and this will have to go to someone else :(

Moving. Will have to tear the tank down for about 8 months. Getting some prices to get something bigger in the new house though :)

I agree.... im a new sps reefer... i just want to know the names to know what to look for... yah you buy wysiwyg corals.. but ones you have them you post it for ID as well... just in case you landed a trophy rare piece and be very proud of it.... for only $10 frags...
