I use All for Reef so I can't make a recommendation about AB+. I will say that any changes should happen slowly. Shoot for about 4 to 5 days to get alkalinity over 8, calcium over 420 and mag over 1300. Record your dosing amounts and intervals. Strive for consistency and stability.

I'll 2nd the All for Reef. I started dosing the recommended 15ml a day (65g Reefer 300xl) but saw my alk climb after the 2nd week. Now I do 10ml a day and it stays stable.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
