Mexican Turbos and Tuxedo urchins make the best clean up crew combo out there. These 2 cleaned up more than all the other hermit crabs and snails combined. I’m starting to worry there won’t be anything for them to eat soon. ;)

The baby Regal is in… as expected shy. Retreated into his cave and has not come out since. Will stare at me staring at him. Routine feeding of other fish but so far not eating frozen brine nor pellets….yet. She is not much bigger than my largest chromis, but otherwise looks healthy and the markings are unbelievable.

Regal less shy now. The cool thing about this regal is one side is normal and the other crazy. Prefers pellets to frozen brine.

And I added a school of threadfins, one of my favorite fishes.

I've had nothing but trouble with my acro's so far... from everything being great to misreadings via equipment, to nutrients being stripped... god I love this hobby!

For me, i make it simple... just acros. Although i see plenty of mixed reef success, raising acros are hard enough by itself without distraction from dying torches, hammers, and other LPS that have their own perfect water conditions separate from acros.

A down side of being so small here is that now in general population, she doesn’t compete well with the shoaling fish and chooses to hang back. It worries me that she doesn’t eat enough now; although she grazes all day.

My love for this hobby is because of the sticks… acropora. 2 weeks ago started with some cheap frags, then after observing their reaction in my tank, went ahead and purchased more. The coralline algae growing is a good sign that lets me know I’m ready to give them a go. Numbers not perfect but let’s just try to keep them stable for now. KH 9, Cal 500, PO4 0, NO3 5.

The welcome back to the hobby STN greeting. I got this one a week ago and it began peeling its skin that night. Thought it was a goner, but it stopped and here we are. Keeping my fingers crossed but this stuff happens and it doesn’t panic me anymore. Rtn/Stn is unavoidable sometimes.

My phos kept bottoming out to 0 and I would burn tips...I feed like a madman, so that was a little confusing for me. I'm running no filter sock ATM, just skimmer, and I'm looking pretty stable and holding phos at .04. The coral look happy...for now.
I was also trucking along fine until the Tropic Marin Turkey salt got in my tank...sps were just popping skin, not like rtn/stn, just popping chunks off at a time. Quite weird.

Keep that ship stable and you will get to the promised land in time is my motto. But to be honest, I couldnt tell you for certain all these frags wont RTN overnight either. LOL. The truth is if i were to collect all the bones in my sps boneyard id give the barrier reef a run for their money... ;).
