Need some help. I pulled my fish and put them in the hospital tank and only have corals. My Nitrates dropped from 12.7 to .07 over the weekend the other water permitters are

Salinity- 1.025
PH-8.1
Phosphate-.02
Alk- 9.8
Calcium-552
Nitrates-.07
Mag-1400

I have also noticed that the torches and hampers are not full like they were before. I am running the refugium with small amount of Chato and skimmer is recently turned off. DT is coral only plus inverts- No fish for the next 6 weeks.

What is wrong.

I dose

AB coral growth 6ml daily
ALK 9ml every 2 days
calcium- 7ml every 2 days
Mag 6ml every 2 days

I agree that in a fishless tank, I'd dose N and P.

For N, good choices are food grade sodium or calcium nitrate, or ammonium chloride or bicarbonate.

For phosphate, food grade sodium phosphate is a good choice.
