I believe that's the mouth. Here's a picture of it from the side. Should I be worried?

Sorry, I was just showing a picture of it from the side, i didn't necessarily see a worm. I was wondering if you guys saw something that was wrong. It does look like there is tiny worms on the bottom of the side though

The worms outside are most likely vermetid snails. Tube worms in general normally dont live in the corals flesh. But, the coral could live under the coral flesh band for protection.

The fact there might be a tube worm poking out of the hammers mouth like that... I'd be worried if it was something predatory. But, i cant really say

Is the tube sandy?

All in all... it was probably waste .. hammer poo

Ok thank you, It doesn't have any sand on it. I think it could be waste, but i saw it go back inside the hammer after a turned the lights on. It has come back out yet
