Keep an eye out for snails that are not able to ride themselves if turned over. They'll die and add to ammonia, nitrite and nitrates.

Trochus are my favorite by far. They work hard and don't fall over. They can't turn themselves over but they have much stronger suction than most other snails and they are hermit proof.

Some new impulse buys. I went to get snails and The frags were only 10 bucks so I couldn't help myself

in the center you can see a pellet. The Hollywood stunner is eating like a pig. Don't know how it can fit a 1mm pellet in its tiny mouth but it don't seem to have any problem at all.

a few night shots. Hungry chalices. I've already fed them and they want more.

I like the clowns and coral you have. Very cool.
The algae will go away soon.
Good test results.
Thank you. I am hoping to get the algae gone soon. It's definitely an eye sore. I'm running half a cup of gfo at the moment. I know my phos are at 0 but I'm thinking it's because the algae is using it before it can register on a test

Don't worry about it. The algae will go away and be replaced with pink and purple coraline algae. I have a 27 gallon tank doing the same thing right now. You are more than welcome to have a rock or two out of one of my tanks to seed the coraline algae with.

Update: I ran gfo for less than 12 hours and it has already caused my Hollywood stunner chalice to lose color. It is still sweeping and has some color. The algae has turned a little browner as well. I stopped running the gfo and I manually removed some of the algae. I was told by a good friend and trusted source that my tank might be too clean. The only thing I have in the total system is a small CUC and my two clowns. I will be looking to add fish in the near future. I am buying a 40 gal tall tank next week that has a coral beauty and a green chromis in it. I don't think I'm going to add the chromis but I most likely will add the CB. Per my friends advice, I will be feeding small amounts twice a day and feed a little more before night so the chalice will have more of a chance to get more food sweeping. I do target feed my chalices so they are fed well, but I do not like seeing my first corals losing colors. I moved my zoas around and found that my sponge hitchhiker has taken over the whole rock. I need help IDing it. I will put a pic up later. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
