After dosing flatworm exit my trachy does not open. SPS STN and lost a few euphyllias corals.

I did a water change after. Also ran carbon and polyfilter.

Salinity, 1.025, alk, 8.5, cal 420, mag 1500, phosphate .29, nitrate 1, ammonia 0, ph 8.2, temp 78.

About 2 years old 120g mixed reef and 15% weekly water change.

currently running 1 cup of carbon (full dose) and 3 tsp high capacity gfo (15% Of recommended dose)

I did some research that carbon won’t reduce nitrate but skimmer will. So I turn it off for now hopefully my nitrate will rise. I also feed a little more. Usually for 19 fish, 1.5 cube mysis now bumped up to 2.5 cube.

Only two things now that are out of the recommended level are the phosphate is high (.29) and nitrate low (1).

I want to hear your suggestions beside water changes.

excuse my repost, I am just desperate.

top picture is when the tank was ok.

How long ago did you use the flatworm exit?

I tried to feed it with reef roid and it does seem taking it. I didn’t try mysis as my ******* cleaner shrimp or fish will jump on it in no time.

Dip in peroxide, then in RO water and return to tank. Keep lights ay heavy blue and low white for a couple days and see how it responds.

I would not adjust lights, i would tuck it under a shaded area. Changing light settings can alter everything else in the tank.

Yes my bad I misread. However I have used the other as well at 2.5x the recommended dose with no side effects. Is it Possible you waited to long to do a water change and the toxin from the flatworms was in the tank to long
he's treating different flatworms with flatworm exit (planaria)

I changed water approx 1-2 hours after dosing. I also dosed flatworm stop as well when corals were fine but I didn’t find any good and sounds like another snake oil to me.

I wonder if I should dose lanthanum chloride to lower the phosphate to improve water quality so that corals have a better chance to recover or stress them more
