So guys we’ve now set up our own club for our little island, so how about introducing yourself with a picture of your tank!

I’ll start the ball rolling so here we go.

The tank was started in June 2016 from scratch.

Hi all,

Try seahorses.... or use the whole- if you want baby pipefish (cause let's face it what's cuter that adult pipefish?) They need a bigger/ deeper tank etc...!

Hello one and all,
i have just one year of marine animal husbandry under my belt,
Talk about a steep learning curve!
Here's some photos of my tank, its had water in exactly a year now, i don't think i'm getting great growth [ not sure what constitutes good growth ] and i can't get my Alk down now matter how many water changes i do [ 20% per week], its at 13-16, lowest i've had is 10, [ using red sea pro test kit - in date ] i'm not dosing alk, i have just changed salt to red sea blue bucket which has lower Alk than the pro bucket i was using and i'm going to try hydrogen-chloride to bring it down slowly,
Hope to share your experiences / advice to learn more
regards,
Nik

Hi I’m Charlotte from Fareham, this is natural seawater setup about 2 years old. Sumped, Deltec and Bubble Magus skimmers, refugium and running various 3x 150w MH and 2x AI LED and a chinese black box runs with a calcium reactor and recently switched to NOPOX via doser. Been keeping aquariums since the late 80s and go into Marine late 90s had a break for a while then got back into big time few years ago. This is a mixed reef dominated with sps and I have a particular passion for Montipora, Porites and Zoa.

Wow, great work,
you all must have put so much time it to creating these fantastic tanks,
something for me to aspire to.
May is ask what your water parameters are?
Regards,
Nik
