The answer here is most likely “lol, no” because of https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrochlorination, but still giving it a try:

Being quite happy with the Twinstar Nano in my planted freshwater tanks, and positively surprised by the Mame (Japanese) glass / wooden airstone skimmer, plus looking to add completely silent nighttime stability to my nano tank, I’m looking to add a wooden airstone under the power head and have it come on during the night when pH drops under a certain threshold.

Two questions being:
- Will the electrolysis that the Twinstar presumably uses, similar to https://o2grow.com/, produce Chlorine that stays dissolved in the tank?
- If that for some surprising reason wouldn’t be an issue, are pure Oxygen bubbles even binding Carbonic Acid?

Tried to do some research, but surprisingly hard to connect the dots, so any (bio)chemistry thoughts highly appreciated. The Twinstar’s bubble size certainly beats even the nicer wooden airstones.
