Have a reefer xxl 750. 200 total volume Has been an established tank for a year before i bought my current home and have been running for 7 months.
Mixed reef 60/40 acro dominate

0.07 to .18 phosphates at all times
6 to 15 ppm nitrates
1350 mag
480 calcium
14.2 Alk
Reef crystals

I have always struggled with high Alk but all my corals still thrive at these levels. Making a salt change to red sea blue box and i did my first 20 gallon water change and have seen the alk drop to 13.3. My goal is to get down to 8 to 9 dkh slowly to allow the corals to acclimate to the change. My question is how so how soon can i do another 20 gallon water change all while trying not to strip my nutrients?

Don’t use tap water, stop dosing kalkwasser, slowly dose more calcium. Keep water temps cooler to prevent precipitation. Or just do a 50% water change with salt that analysis is 8dkh

I did have an electrical outage that ended up knocking out two of my radions. Got them in three days later so an acro or two didn't make it

Are you using PH boosters/balancers
Reef crystals is instant ocean? That stuff is out of wack. I stopped using it the first time I tried it

What is the alk in your new salt water?

My suggestion is to lower the alk in your new water before doing water changes.
I am getting 11.6 dkh with my new salt water at 1.026.
I am getting a ph of 7.8 but with a 13.3 alk in the DT. Confused how the ph can be on the low end when the alk is so high

High indoor CO2 will do it.
