Hi there,
So after having two fish jumping out of the tank over the past month, I've decided to add a lid to my Waterbox Marine X 90.3.
As i'm in Canada, I don't have that many options, and I'm looking at the OEM lid from Waterbox. But when I looked at the picture of the 90.3 lid on their website, I got worried about two things:
1/ Where are the slots for wavemakers pumps? Not everyone has a Vortech.
2/ Why are they two massive cut outs on each side? Besides the central overflow box, my 90.3 has a flat back. It's just two massive holes that would defeat the purpose of a lid for jumpers.

I'm quite confused. Anyone here bought that specific lid?
Thank you!

1 - There isn't any cut outs for your cables
2 - The big cut outs are for any lighting arms / brackets

Have a look at Clearview lids.

What horrible design (the Waterbox ones). Well DiY it is...
Clearview is probably good, but I don't have 350$CAD to spend on a lid (shipping to Canada is 55$...)

I bought a Cade tank last year. Lid was included but with no cut outs either. I reckon Red Sea is the same.

They don't know where you want your cables to come out - how many holes do you expect them to include? ;) Front/Side/Back? All tanks are different.

Depending where you want your cables to come out, the lid can sit just fine on top of the cables.

Where in Canada are you located? I have an extra lid that has only been used for a month, in very good condition. All of the corners are connected using plastic tabs that have an optional cutout in each of the corners for cables the pass through. The cutouts that you pointed out in the second question are basically spaces for the lights to be mounted. I went with two g15s with a single arm attachment on each and they fit perfectly with the little cutout slot that waterbox provided.
