Its a tesselata eel. I'm not sure how I feel about you putting your catch on here. This is a place for fishkeepers not fishers and I don't like seeing a dead tessa.

It may also be a Spotted Moray, Gymnothorax isingteena, as they can look remarkably similar - I'm sure there's a way to tell them apart reliably, but they've been confused in numerous articles to the point where more study has been suggested on differentiating them.

Indeed! I am sure that I have seen what a gymnothorax isingteena looks like,I always went around looking for it's I'd but I couldn't get it so thank you! i saw it at my pet store a long time back and it has lesser black spots than a Tessa and more whitish in colour, beautiful moray and if I come by it again I'll surely have it!
