So. I bought a well used cube 32"Lx32"Wx24"H that has 12mm, 1/2" glass, aged black silicone seams, and 2 nice size chipped bottom corner edges. I'm a glutton for punishment. Looks like it's only the bottom glass piece that has the chipped edges on one side. I'm having trouble finding out what type of glass is used on the bottoms of aquariums. This will have close to 100gallons/800lbs of water weight alone. Anyone out there know what type of glass I should order before cutting all the seams out and sealing it all back together?

Your existing panel's edge is called a flat polished or flat ground depending who you ask, but a simple arris edge in the same dimension would be cheaper but not as pretty ( it is the bottom after all). Regular non-tempered glass in the same thickness is all you really need to know.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
