Reef octopus classic 150 internal on my 125.

I just switched out my Bubble Master 250 ( which was pretty decent ) for a Reef Octopus 5000 int which is pretty awesome, on my 233.
I need to empty the skimmer cup every 4-5 days or it really starts stinking up the house.
How long have you used these for? I have one but it's been giving us a hard time lately as far as bubbles. I recently had to clean it with vinegar.

Using a SRO XP 8000 on my 400G total system volume around 800 G.
Pretty happy with it. A bit on the noisy side but again with that size you wouldn't expect it to be next or under a tank so its not an issue.

I just got it last week. So far so good. The instructions said the whole skimmer needs to be cleaned periodically. Don't remember how often.

Wow! Everyone seems to love their skimmer. That being the case, how the heck can you possible chose from all of the brands if everyone claims to have no problems??

Reef Life Support Systems (RLSS) R8-i. Very happy with this skimmer on my 140!

Do you have a build thread? I would like to see more details on that sump. I've never seen a glass sump with drop in sock holders like that. Did you make it

Vertex Omega 150 on my 90 Gal. Reef.
Works great and I love being able to take it completely apart for cleaning unlike my old SRO.
