Regular (weekly) water changes are super necessary in a nano. Other than that, I'd say it's the same.

Scrape the sides, weekly or bi-weekly WC's, and run some carbon is all I do on my nanos. Pretty easy!

The smaller your water volume, the quicker things are impacted by changes, equipment failure, negligence, and over stocking, so the smaller your tank, the more you need to monitor your water quality. Success in this hobby is accomplished by consistency and patience, so keep you water pristine and make adjustments gradually. As others have said, water changes are going to be an important part of your routine, and don't skimp on equipment. Nano tank does not necessarily = cheaper tank. Your lights, pumps, and filtration are just as important and just as expensive as for a bigger tank.

Hey does anyone know where I can get one of those battery powered/chargeable power strips( in case of a black out I wouldn't want anything to die).
