Whats sticking out of my poly?

I just got this coral maybe a week ago and I noticed ever since we got it it's had something sticking out of its mouth. It hasn't gone away or retracted at all. Does anyone know what it is or what it means? My fiance and I are still new to the saltwater world and would appreciate any information.

if it moves/sways with the water current it is very likely poop. if not, it may be something it picked up/tried to eat that it couldn't.

Thank you for your response! It seems to be pretty firm so not poop, at first I thought one of our feather dusters got stuck in its mouth but it's not that either. Hopefully it drops it soon! Thanks again
