Hey everyone! So here we are with the question that has been asked a million times. Does the brand of skimmer really matter for performance? If so, where does price and efficiency cross to make the best value.

I have around 800$ to spend on a skimmer for a new 300gal tank. I have been using a bubble magus 180cp-s. It uses a single psk 2500. It claims to be rated for 285-490 gal but I feel it's underpowered for even the current 200gal it is on. Besides the bubble magus I have no experience with other skimmer brands. What should I get? Anyone like the ati powercone?

Cheers and thanks s million for your opinions.

Been using LifeReef for over a decade. Had one on my 180 years ago and that was the smallest model!
