How thick is the glass? And to be honest I’ve used them before and I think they kinda suck, you get what you pay for in this case. How big is the tank?

I have one on a 20L aquarium I just cut the plastic lip on the rimmed aquarium to get the skimmer on there. I like my QQ1. After a few months it stopped making skimmate. After a month of this I decided to take it down and I cleaned it in citric acid solution and it instantly started making skimmate again.

so far makes skimmate for me just fine after 6 months of use.

Yes the QQ1 will fit on a rimmed aquarium with slight modification to the rim. A notch the width of the skimmer would need to be trimmed from the inside lip of the black plastic rim. I used a utility knife to cut the notch. Took less than a minute to do.
