I have a nice spot I sold like to put the cyphastrea but eventually it could grown around the rock too my zoas. I have seen pics where cyphastrea grows around zoas. I also read that cyphastrea funny really sting they just smother and cover other corals. How true is all this?

Cyphastrea will definitely choke out (or kill) zoas.

Is there an entrusting coral that won't sting or smother other corals? I'd like to fill in gaps between corals with something that encrusts.

Not really. If a coral grows to the point that it touches another type of coral, one of them will end up "winning" the fight for space...
