I've got two 250's and the controller for them. Purchased in December of 2017 and used to start up a new Red Sea 525. Put into the tank in January of this year so been used for about 5 weeks. Still have the boxes and manuals. Only thing done to them was I marked the cable ends "A" and "B" with a silver Sharpie so I knew which was which when connecting them. They move a lot of water but not quite what I was looking for.

That sound like something you would be interested in?
