I'm trying to figure out the compatibilty of a potential addition in my tank (55 gallon, rectangle). I only have captive bred fish and am thinking about adding a yellow assessor from Pacific East.

Current stock:
Blackcap Basslet
Coral Beauty Angelfish
Pavo Damsel
Clownfish pair
Starry Goby
Blue Mandarin
Killifish (hitchhiker, will not die, 1000 years old in killifish years)

The Basslet has an elaborate cave he's fairly particular about (moves plants around, evicts snails, etc). Everyone else seems to get along except for the killifish and the damsel, which is entirely the killifish's fault (tortured the damsel and now is getting his comeuppance).

My question: would a yellow assessor work in this mix and this size tank? I'm just not sure about the assessor/basslet mix and can't seem to find out any solid information.

Thank you!

I have 3 yellow Assessors in a 100g and when I put a blue Assessor in the tank he tried to kill the yellows. One of my yellow Assessors has a screwed up Jaw due this. I had to work hard to evict the blue. Each tank is different but I wouldn't do it.
