Yellow Tang hiding

My yellow tang used to be very active. About a week ago I introduced a new fish, a mandarin. Since then it seems the tank's harmony has been altered and my yellow tang is hiding under a rock, not feeding. He is one of the bigger fish of the tank. Other fish: 2 Cardinals (both male), Blue Damselfish with yellow tail, Flame Angel, White Tail Bristletooth, a mated pair of Clarkies and the mandarin. Thanks for your comments!

Try temping it with different foods. My Yellow Tang goes nuts over San Francisco Bay Frozen Foods, especially the Butterfly & Angel Fish Formula. Let us know how it goes, because it’s been suggested, I add a Mandarin, due to all the pods I have.

May be color of goby but often it’s a change in water quality Or onset of issue such as flukes,etc
Is fish breathing normal or elevated?
Any loss of color?

I cannot see the addition of a mandarin causing that sort of a response in a tang. If it i scraping against rocks, that is called "flahsing" and is a sign of flukes.

Whoa! That isn't normal scratching/flashing! I'm not sure what could be causing that amount of agitation, sorry!

Sorry - nothing jumps out at me in the photo - the fish has good body mass, and no lesions, and its color looks o.k. - there is some damage to the trailing edge of its anal fin, but that might be from the frantic dashing about.
