Hello Reefers!
I’ve posted on R2R a couple times, but never really introduced myself or posted my tank. I started in the hobby in 2012 and got absolutely hooked. I began with a 75 gallon mixed reef with a sump. Unfortunately, I had to part ways after 4 years because I had started a job that required a lot of traveling.
I started my current tank in January 2020 with a lot of ups and downs. I began with all dry rock and bacteria in a bottle. Man, never again. The tank has taken forever to start maturing. Starting with a “sterile tank” without a healthy bacterial ecosystem is rough. I’ve had more ugly stages than I can count. I should have skipped that trend and did what brought me good luck in my last tank. Biodiversity!! Biodiversity!!
After about a year, finally my tank started to stabilize, so I decided to rip it apart and reaquascape;Nailbiting Smashing apart live rock and to make something new took some planing. Definitely added some more surface area for coral placement, the fish seem to enjoy it, and it gets much better flow
I still could use some cord management, but for now I’m happy with how it turned out!
Tank: Planet Aquariums 60” x 20” with stand
Sump: Trigger Tideline
Lighting: 4 Radion XR-15 Pro AB+

The pictures are from when I set up to now.
