Hi guys,
Looking for suggestions for mag tests apart from salifert. Bought a new kit, ran 3 samples of my water with a reading of 820, prepped new red sea salt, tested new batch with a reading of 860.
Contacted LFS about issue, offered refund etc but all saliferts are of same expiry currently in stock. Haven’t had the most accurate results with hanna in the past, any suggestions on alrernatives?

Red Sea Pro kit is decent.

If you still have the Hanna tester for magnesium: it is annoying, I know, but if you can dial in the testing, it is very accurate.

I recommend not measuring magnesium, just adding it at an appropriate ratio to calcium.
