An old plastic water bottle, with the lid cut off an inverted makes a great, inexpensive fish trap;

Plastic zip ties work great for holding LR in position;

A small plastic cup with slots cut in the side works great for attaching unattached mushrooms like ricordia;

A pair of wire strippers makes a great tool for fragging a small section of flesh off the bottom of a newly cut gorgonian frag. Makes gluing the frag much easier.

Hey Wy - Love the zip tie idea with the live rock - Any issues with them being in the tank over time?

Nope, they actually purple up with coralline growth and kind of disappear into the background.

Also not sure if it is possible but there are really a lot of great ideas here for the DIY forum as a sticky...anyway a mod could clean up and put all on first post??

Agreed, would love to see this stickied... if people kept adding to it over a few months/years I'm sure pretty much everyone would find something they hadn't thought of yet.
