2012 - I first saw a thriving reef on a beach in Mactan, Cebu, Philippines. We rode a boat and only traveled close to the shore to a designated diving spot. I did the bubble glass helmet dive and dove about 10 meters. Saw lush corals and tons of fish. It was amazing and I was hooked.
