So I got a good deal on this used 125g tank so im tearing down my 30g reef. I couldnt believe the wife was on board when I brought it home because I told her my plans to tear up the house and build it in the indented space we have in our living room.

I tore the carpet up and pull the trim. Built the frame of the stand. So far so good!

Tank is cycled. All water tests were good. I took out the livestock out of my 30g and threw it in for now. I have plans to get more liverock and aquascape better than that!

Put the skin and trim on the stand. Used espresso colored stain. It came out pretty good. Im in no way a carpender with any skills and have limited tools. The cuts are a little off but I hid them verry well.

Finnished the doors today. Slide up and pop out. Still wet in the pic. Again, not a carpender. Miscut the trim a little too short. You can see a slight gap on the top of the doors, but not too bad.

Yes. 1x2's. It took me a while to find some straight ones. They were all pretty bowed at the store.
