Aptasia has been a thorn in my side for awhile now. They just won't die and I'm afraid to use chemicals in my tank but I found a fun and very effective solution! Just like the medical community, the answer is a laser! Using a 500mw green laser I can surgically kill the things!!
Here's before/during/after

White and Brittle, but is the thing dead? When I used Lemon Juice, you can see the thing start to dissolve away in front of your eyes.

Where did you get your laser and did you have to build it yourself

I bought it used on Craigslist. Its brand is Wicked Laser. I'm also into amateur astronomy and bought it for that purpose. It'll light a match so I figured maybe I could target Aptasia without needing to pull the rock out... it worked!

Get a small syringe and you can get plastic tips. Off of the top of my head, look for stuff for wisdom teeth. Load it up and you can "target" the aptasia.
