Does anyone know if these are regular run of the mill zoas? They are more gold in person, but still good representation. I found them on zoaid and that's what they called them.

I have them and they have never jumped out as me as THAT exciting, but they are one of the very few yellow zoas that I have seen out there:

^^^^^^^^^^^^ those don't look like King Midas to me.

Mine look like the first pic, under actinic they get a purple ring just inside the skirt.

Maybe they aren't, who knows....I can't say they look any different from the first picture, but perhaps there are coloring nuances that I don't know about.

both pics appear to be midas golds, however perhaps under different lighting, camera settings/camera types etc.

IMO yellow is one of THE hardest colors to get right on camera.

IMO they are a very very very nice zoanthid... and they also seem to be one of the hardest for me to find... sigh.

What I'd like to know is where to get that really cool yellow sand?
Hope you don't mind, I messed with your picture a little bit:

Either way, it's a very nice looking zoa.

Here's another shot, a little darker due to lighting, but it looks like I cured that yellow sand ;)

Very nice! I especially like the contrast with the greens.

The perspective on that last picture makes your tank look huge.

These seem to be one of the best growing zoas in my tank. Here's a pic of some of mine:

I got some for a local, and he said they where rare. Ive never seen them anywhere else. They grow really slow though. But they look amazing.
