acylic tank

Found an acrylic 240g 8x2x2. 1 inch thick acrylic, steel frame, built in chiller. Asking $2000. Owner states it has held water. Worth the price? I plan to offer 1200-1500 to start. I’m curious would this require a brace at this length? Could it be a rimless if I wanted to pull that rim off? Thanks
