One of my torch corals retracted a bit yesterday and then overnight half of the head is gone down to the skeleton and the other half just shows the tips. Thought it might be my emerald crab or 6 line wrasse any ideas. It is next to a NY Nicks long tentacle torch and they have been touching but...
Gang! Send help! I’ve had this tank for a year now and everyone is doing well, we have had a bit of a battle with algae but that’s finally being won and disappearing! I was doing my usual check today once the lights went on and found that the rock has all these were tentacles coming out of it...
Picked a few items up from Marketplace. It came with a frag. I was in the middle of moving and with the ongoing "Unknown" , We kept it inside a container at the bottom of the refugium.
It has spent a few months there.
We just moved, setup the tank, and now i'm trying to figure out what to...
Coral Only tank, no fish/inverts.
Any idea what this little tentacle is? I recorded one of them but I see 2 short ones and 1 slightly longer one.
If a pest, any advice on how to remove it?
Hey all
A while ago I noticed a tentacle coming out of the shady area of the live rock and haven’t seen it for ages. Today the tentacle is black and large and seems to be picking up left overs off the sand bed! Does anyone know what this could belong to? Sorry for the poor quality but I just...
Hey guys
So we are a good few weeks into the 20 gallon and I have 6kg of live rock tank mates are Nasarrius snail, 2 red legged hermits and a turbo snail who is doing a great job on the algae clean up. The rock is covered in copepods but I noticed a weird tentacle earlier!
There was a small...
I have a rbta that has been doing great till the last 3 days where it has been shrunk up some and the tentacles have been extra inflated. Today I noticed that 3 of the tentacles that I can see have what looks like openings in the very tips. Please help. I’ll attach some photos of the problem and...
Tyree Mummy Eye Chalice
Ive had this guy for one week, and I’m letting him hang out on the sand and get used to my lighting before placement.
Ive seen his tentacles come out at night, traditional clear, hard to see things. However today this is what I saw in the middle of the day. Three...
Stationary tentacle or worm, nocturnal, rapidly shrinks in bright light to what basically just looks like a pebble of sand stuck in a some snail slime.
Edit: not sure the video is going to work so here are stills
Can anyone tell me what is going on here?
There has been a little bit of stringy stuff around my rocks and right now its spilling out white liquid
I did feed it earlier a piece of frozen brine shrimp.
Do I need to worry about water changes? Should I do a small water change?
I was doing some poking around to consider fragging some mushrooms and suddenly the mushroom retracted and shrunk, and seemed to spew these semi clear worm tentacles like things.
Are these worms in the shrooms or the shrooms tentacles?
Thank you all for your support and advice!
Not sure what these are, I just spotted them today on my dry rock that has been in the tank for about 3 months.
Only other things in the tank are 2 clowns, urchine, zoa, mix of snails and a xenia coral which btw happens to be right next to the rock that has these things on them.
Thanks!
I spotted this 'thing' and I have no idea what it is. It is growing in a couple different spots on this particular rock, the one pictured is by far the longest. It is slightly translucent, brown in color, ugly as sin.
