what is this algae coating

At first I thought this was cyano but think it could be dinos because it recedes to an extent at night? Looks like a slimy film that is covering sand and sometimes the rocks. I believe that some of the brown/green is hair algae and my lawnmower blenny and pincushion urchin seem to have dented it...
