Hi there, I'm upgrading from a 75 to 125 and was wondering if my 48' 324W T5 are enough? And will the dual R8's be enough for wavemakers? I plan on having fish, live rock and some corals but am fairly new so I'll take it slow. Thanks.

If you put them all in the center under the 48" span of light, they should be ok. Depends on the coral. Higher light towards the center and lower towards the edge of the light range. If they are ok now, they should be ok in the 125. Wavemakers probably will be ok, depends how you adjust your return flow. 125s are 72" wide. On mine I have a single powerhead on each end and 4 return nozzles in the center across the back. Try and see, buy more if needed. I like to put a decent pinch of pulverized food in the tank when looking at water flow.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
