High mag was the answer for me on keeping torches, between 1450-1500 and they are very happy, same as the rest of your LPS and coralline grows quickly at that range as well

We're reef keepers, everything scares the crap out of me. Fish going rouge, equipment failure, kids hands in tanks...lol

I have my fair shares of everything you mentioned. Learned from it. My favorite local LFS. (Aquatic Art sells dragon soul @ $75/head. He has a MASSIVE colony he frag. Maybe I can try one and see how I do before I get something expensive

I have never been able to get my Mg below 1500. I use IO reef crystals and it stays up there.

I worry about my inverts but they seem fine.

Oh yea good point, forgot to mention your snails will be drunk (but in my experience their shells grow quickly)

I got pink tips at my local shop for 40 a head....

If you want to experiment a little, they're nice for it.
