So with your bar right there, any chance of vodka dosing? My reef prefers ketel one with a splash of soda.

Looks nice...are you concerned about humidity with a open top aquarium and all the nice a/v gear ?

I am not to worried about the moisture. Dead of summer my dehumidifier was able to keep that room at 45%. I will be looking at doing an HRV system sometime in the near future.

Of course the dehumidifier is running all the time and the AC is cranked (summer time), but this will have to do until I get the HRV system in there.

The picture also maybe a little deceiving, the projector is quite a ways away from the tank and it has been moved closer to the ceiling.

:) It would be easy.

I am not sure I will be doing vodka or bio-pellets. I have been running GAC/GFO in some large reactors which seems to be doing the trick. I think I will keep on top of switching out that filter media along with 20% water changes bi-weekly.

I do have an issue with bubble algae of all varieties in both tanks. Slowly picking away at it.

Something that I am trying out with this system is the difference between T5 vs. LED lights. I know I can't mimic the exact same conditions in both tanks with respect to flow, and PAR ratings, but I should get a fairly good indication on how some corals react to T5 vs. LED since both tanks are connected. (water parameters will be the same). I may get a PAR meter to try and eliminate the light variable.

I have started to stock the 225 with SPS. I will fragging the corals after they 'settle in' and letting the frags grow out in the 150 under the LED lights. I can tell you I have quite the battle going on with Caulpera/bryopsis in the 150. No signs of it in the 225 but, it is growing out of control in the 150. When I get back from work I plan to take the LR out of the 150 and give it a good scrubbing.

Is the caulpera/bryopsis the result of the LED's????
Is it the result of lack of flow?????

.......my suspicions are both have something to do with it. Once the rock has been cleaned and put back into the tank, I will increase the amount of powerheads and see if it starts to come back.

Thanks for all the compliments

LiveRock/Eco Rock in the tanks. It's about a 40/60 split.
