BUT... Salt and sand probably wont ship for that cheap though right?

We checked 5 of our best-selling aquarium salt mixes this morning and all sizes (including the big boy 200 gallon sizes) are eligible for $5.99 flat-rate shipping and free shipping if you spend over $175. If you find any exceptions, please let us know.

For most of the aquarium sand we carry, there are indeed small surcharges if you buy more than 5 lbs. They vary by weight: about $4 for 10-15 lbs, $8 for 20 lbs and and $16 for 40 lbs. Those overweight/heavy surcharges are just added to the flat-rate amount (so a 10 lb bag would be $9.99).

Flat-rate shipping is brand-new for us, so if you see any peculiar pricing, give us a heads up and we'll take a gander.
