Quick little update... this is coralline, right? (under the diatoms, lol)

I had found a new patch on a piece of well-established live rock, but it's spread over my fresh marco rock like wildfire! Just over 5 weeks in right now; that seems pretty quick, right?
Looking great. if its hard its coraline, if it blows off with a turkey baster its cyano likely. Im leaning twords coraline.

It is definitely hard, and almost looks integrated into the rock. Great news, thanks for the reply!
Most welcome! Love following others builds. When my new one bothers me, or i hit a spot that fustrates me, its nice to read others to realize im not alone!

Installed the new sump with some help from a friend:

The skimmer is easy to adjust by moving the cup and seems to work well. Unfortunately the hose barb on the main drain seems restrictive so I've had to turn my return pump down quite a bit. I'll have to change that up.

Also had a bit of a temp spike to 82 without adjusting the Eheim heater. Weird. Turned the heater down and it's back down to 79. Calibration must have gone out of whack.

Aaaand... used the last of my store credit at the LFS for this guy:

Neat BTA. Seems healthy - it's moved a couple of times, but stays nicely inflated, mouth closed tight. Hopefully the clowns eventually decide to make it their home.

Starting to get a bit of a cyano bloom but what can ya do.
