Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet & Apex Fusion Download?

Good Evening,

I recently purchased an Amazon Fire 10 HD Tablet to use (hopefully) as my Apex Fusion control screen. Has anyone setup Apex Fusion with this latest iteration of Fire Tablet? I can't figure it out whatsoever. Any help or tutorial on the Fire 10 for Apex Fusion would be great. If not I'm going to return it and use my older iPad! We're an Apple House....I hate android....not sure why I thought it would be an acceptable device lol. Thx

FireOS is a custom android OS and does not naturally talk to the google play store. I believe you would have to google how to side load google play onto your FireOS (it can be done) just to get the fusion app in the first place.

Try resetting the fire tablet and set it up without wifi. They force an Amazon account if you connect to wifi. You can then connect to wifi and somewhat use it as a tablet. Then manually download the apex fusion apk from internet browser. I know it’s a few steps and may be annoying, but this may be a way to make it work.

I bought a Digiland from Best Buy for like $45. It has Android and works well.

I got the fire HD10 to use for apex, I found a way to side load the play store and have the latest updated version of fusion on there.

I use it as a display, the feature where you can keep it on while plugged in is especially handy

Can you tell me what generation of fire 10 you have done this on? I have side loaded the play store on my 7th generation fire 10 and it does not allow the app to be installed. Maybe the 7th generation is too old.

I did it with a friends fire tablet earlier this year. I used the web browser to manually download the apk file online and installed manually. Did not logging to Amazon at all.

How to install Play Store on Amazon Fire Tablet
Hey guy's Reefer Collector here and today I'm going to show you how you can install the Play Store onto an Amazon Fire Tablet.Android

Go to the tablet and under settings.. security and privacy.. select apps feom unknown option....select the silk browser and select allowed

Go to you're fire tablet, find the version of OS in the setting option, under system ...important you only download your OS version.

Important, Find your version of OS for each of the 4 files below, download each one in this order below, they also have to be installed in the exact order below... I'd just install each file as you down loaded it so that you don't mess up the order of installation.


Version guid for Fire OS Versions- Fire OS 5 = Android 5.1- Fire OS 6 = Android 7.1.2- Fire OS 7 = Android 9.0- Fire OS 8 = Android 11

If it doesn't work, you shoukd try going into the setting and reset to factory and try again, only two things that can go wrong are, you don't install in the right order or you downmoaded the wrong version of the file for your OS.

Thanks, worked like a charm. Had a $50 BestBuy gift card lying around and picked up an 8" Fire. Back in business with a tablet on my stand since Fusion stopped working on the iPad i was using back in June.

Got thru everything and the play store came up, went to log in then the app blows up and closes. No matter what I do it starts and then closes. Have restarted the device same thing. Any ideas?
